Find federal contracts set aside for Women-Owned Small Businesses (WOSBs) and EDWOSBs, filtered by NAICS and agency, with alerts for new opportunities.

What the WOSB program is

The Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Federal Contracting Program lets agencies set aside contracts for women-owned firms in industries where women are underrepresented. A subset, the Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) designation, applies to additional NAICS codes. Set-asides are limited to specific NAICS codes that SBA identifies as eligible.

How to find WOSB opportunities

  • Filter opportunities to the WOSB or EDWOSB set-aside type.
  • Confirm your NAICS codes are among those eligible for WOSB set-asides.
  • Combine set-aside and NAICS filters to build a relevant shortlist.
  • Use award data to find agencies that regularly award WOSB contracts.
  • Turn on alerts so new WOSB set-asides reach you in time to respond.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find WOSB contract opportunities?

Search opportunities filtered to the WOSB or EDWOSB set-aside type and your NAICS codes. GovPrimer lets you save these searches and receive alerts, and review award data to target agencies that buy from women-owned firms.

Do I need to be certified as a WOSB?

Yes. To win WOSB or EDWOSB set-aside contracts you must be certified through the SBA's WOSB certification process, which verifies women's ownership and control (and economic disadvantage for EDWOSB).

Are WOSB set-asides available in every industry?

No. WOSB and EDWOSB set-asides are limited to the NAICS codes SBA designates as eligible based on where women-owned firms are underrepresented, so check whether your codes qualify.
